Letters: Month 4

You're a full-time giggler now. You love to make faces, be tickled and giggle, giggle, giggle--as you can see in the video. (Don't mind the shadow from Dad's monstrous head.)

Your digestive system has slowed down a bit, too--which can be alarming for Mom and Dad, going days without having to change a dirty diaper. (We're not complaining, though!)

You finally beat the cold that ravaged our entire household, and then came up with a case of pink eye and conjunctivitis. (I'm not sure if those are separate ailments, or the same thing.) That also started to make its way through the house--first to your sister and then Dad. Fortunately we were on guard and medicated ourselves quickly before Mom contracted it. Who knows what will be next--ebola?

Nights are going great! You're always excited to go to sleep, and most mornings you sleep until about 6 or 6:30. You're spending more and more time on your tummy and stand on your legs if mom or dad hold your hands.

All that time not standing, however, has taken its toll on your once full head of hair. You've rubbed away most of the hair in the band between both your ears, giving you a reverse male-pattern baldness. The remaining locks make for a pretty kickin' mohawk (or Donald Trump comb-over).

You and I (Dad) are getting to spend lots of time together now that I am off of work for the summer and Mom is back at the grindstone. We went to the zoo with your sister this week. You slept through most of it, which was not a bad idea because it's been hot, hot, hot. The rest of the time, you've been doing your favorite activities: cooing, making faces, watching your sister, grabbing at toys, and eating!

Over all, I can say on this Father's Day weekend, that you have definitely helped make this Father's Day better than any other for me. Your mom and I feel incredibly blessed to have both you and your sister in our lives.
