Maren has grown up so much this year. Her preschool experience has been exceptional, and she has blossomed under the magical tutelage of her teacher, Ms. Sue. One of the things that I've noticed, and appreciate so much, is her (sometimes) willingness to try new things. Doesn't sound like a big deal; but to Maren, it is.
So, the other day she announced that she wanted to take a shower instead of a bath. Halleluia! I can't tell you how much I've grown to hate bath time...it takes forever, there's usually fighting and splashing and howling when it comes to the actual washing of the hair... no fun for anyone. And, well, how does one do bathtime with THREE children?! I don't know. Luke splashing his way around an infant. Hmmm.
Saturday we tried the shower, and she giggled and laughed and loved every minute. She felt so grown up, and well, she is! And tonight she wanted to take one with mommy, and together we giggled and laughed and loved every minute. Especially when she started singing. I sighed happily to myself...
It's good when your kids are happy.

I had Ms. Sue for preschool! Or at least that was my preschool teacher's name at Mac Grove, dunno if that's where Maren is. She is amazing! As Maren if Ms. Sue still has a dinosaur plant :)
