Tomorrow marks the beginning of the solo-parenting adventure. It's been awesome having Andy home for so long - although with Munchkin we were both home for the first two months, so this two-week leave feels pretty short in comparison. I don't think he's especially thrilled to be going back... I mean, Andy thrives at home: he baked bread, quiche, omelets, pancakes, salmon, etc., etc... he snow-blowed the driveway and sidewalk 6 times... he organized his office... he took Munchkin sledding, on walks, outside, upstairs, etc., etc...This is a man who is seriously productive, even when he's "not working."
(I, on the other hand, breastfed for the last two weeks. My new occupation!)
So I'm packing my mornings (before afternoon nap) with outings and activities and people - cause Munchkin seems to do better when she's out with people, and her boredom just leads to trouble with a capital T.
And, lucky for all of us, Andy still has some time off he's going to sprinkle throughout the spring. Bring on the home-baked bread!

Yeah, two weeks is NOTHING in that situation, is it? Why can't we all win the lottery and be stay at home parents all day long? Or live in Sweden, where BOTH parents get months and months of paid leave?
I blame Bush.
