oh... right. Like, totally.

Today, I said to Maren as she was putting on her dress for the day:

"Don't you look cute!"

and she said, "No, mom. I look beautiful - not cute."

"Oh. Why not cute?"

"Because, Mom, I'm not a baby. I am a big girl."

Oh. Right. I'm sure this is merely the first time my daughter will remind me how totally uncool I am. She is growing up! (And it's freaking me out.)
